Alexis S. Upshaw, Founder and Principal Consultant
AU Consulting Group was born from Alexis' belief that equity must move beyond conversation and into action. After years leading statewide initiatives, securing multimillion-dollar educational contracts, and advancing DEI strategy across K–12 and nonprofit systems, Alexis saw a consistent gap: organizations had the intention to lead inclusively but lacked the structure to implement sustainable change. As a proud mother of three, her commitment to equity is both professional and deeply personal. Driven by a passion for Black communities and other historically marginalized groups, Alexis founded AU Consulting Group to help leaders build cultures of belonging where every person — and every child — has the opportunity to thrive.
